High School Football

Playing football in high school was the best choice I have ever made. I attended Blue Valley High School and decided to play football. I was a very shy kid freshman year and football helped me make new friends and get ready for the next four years of high school. Freshman year of football was an amazing experience. I was on A-Team and we finished the season 9-3.

Sophomore year I changed high schools and attended Wake Forest High School in North Carolina. Once I moved out there, I became the starting left tackle for the Cougars. We had a great season and finished 15-1 and runner-ups in the 2014 State Championship game. I grew so much as a person and as a player in that year.

I then returned to Blue Valley High School for my junior year and started varsity at left tackle once again. It was a dream come true for me. I had been going to every Friday night game since I was in fourth grade dreaming of the chance to play in that tigers uniform. My junior year we had another great season and finished at 9-3 and once again runner-ups in the State Championship game.

My senior year was unforgettable and the best time of my life. I was voted one of the four captains of the football team. That was pretty scary because of the speaking we did at assemblies but was worth it. My favorite moments were walking out to the coin toss with my three best friends. Five minutes to try and intimidate the other captains. We finished the season 12-1 and for the third time in my career runner-ups in the State Championship game. Overall I finished my high school career 36-5 as a varsity starter and I managed to rack up a lot of personal achievements and awards. I loved high school football and I would recommend playing to anyone who asks. It teaches you so much while you are maturing; From teamwork to Leadership it has so much to offer. Four years of hard work and dedication wit my football brothers. I loved every minute of it and wouldn't change a thing.
